"The East is Red" an exceptional collection of posters from the White Haired Girl Opera A very stylish Japanese poster for the " White Haired Girl”, a Chinese Opera/Ballet first performed in 1945. The film was made in 1950. The opera is based on real life stories of no less than half a dozen women, in a time frame stretching from the late Qing Dynasty to 1920's or 1930's. This ballet is regarded as one of the classics of revolutionary China. Very good. (A+) with normal aging-- yellowing and foxing, some wear along the borders of the paper
