One of the countless reissues of Charlie Chaplin's films, credited here to the "Himalaya Film Co.," this is a Keystone film of 1914 titled "The Woman." The short two-reeler had Charlie, as a rejected suitor, disguise himself as a woman in order to sneak back into his girl's house. The scene shown here has the father, and the woman's approved suitor, in the act of attempting to strangle Charlie after demasking him.
