A whimsical poster realized by Oge ca. 1911, to advertise the soap maker "Savonike". A driver just fixed his car and got all his hands dirty. A pretty young lady is offering him a soap bar that according to the slogan turns your hands white instantly! This poster is featured in the book "Eugène Ogé Affichiste" (1998) on p. 159. Eugène Ogé (1861-1936) was a French poster artist with a unique and playful style. In 1902. he produced one of the best-known anticlerical images of its period La Lanterne. He also made a large number of commercial posters for products. (Wiki)
