An adorable poster, realized by Oge ca. 1903, to advertise the chain of toy stores "Universels". A young boy and a girl are depicted here wearing costumes and playing with a variety of toys. The girl is giving a medal to the boy - who is disguised to a soldier. This poster is featured in the book "Eugène Ogé Affichiste" (1998) on p. 188. Eugène Ogé (1861-1936) was a French poster artist with a unique and playful style. In 1902. he produced one of the best-known anticlerical images of its period La Lanterne. He also made a large number of commercial posters for products. (Wiki)
