More Views

Picture realized ca. 1930 after Jean-Gabriel Domergue (1889-1962), the bard of the Belle Epoque. This elegant lady is having a sip of Saint Raphael Quinquina, the aperitif in fashion since 1830. Saint Raphael is a blend of quinquina, cocoa, bittersweet oranges, vanilla etc. It can be drunk either straight on the rocks or in a cocktail such as the Delight or the St. Petersburg. This picture is part of a menu holder. The second part of this menu holder is still an advertisement for Saint Raphael Quinquina. This time the drink is advertised by the “twins” representing both varieties of St. Raphael, the white and the red version, either skiing down the slopes or water skiing on the Riviera. “St. Raphael Quinquina, the aperitif from France!”
