Very rare and beautiful vintage cherry amber Islamic Praying Tasbih, that was probably made in Palestine before 1948. 100% natural amber. 18" long, and weighs 75 gr. Each round bead is approx 12 mm. The end of the Tasbih features a crafted metal connector, that connects 4 metal chains, each ends with a 5 Mils coin that was used in Palestine in 1946, as an inscription on its back says in Hebrew and Arabic. Other inscription are "Palestine" in Hebrew, English, and Arabic, and "5 Mils" in all 3 languages. Tasbih (تسبيح) is a form of dhikr that involves the repetitive utterances of short sentences glorifying God, in Islam. To keep track of counting either the phalanges of the right hand or a misbaha is used. The misbaha is similar to the prayer rope of the Eastern Church and the rosary in the Roman Catholic Church.
