« La Giornata Mondiale del Risparmio », or "World Savings Day" is linked to the name of an important economist Italian, Maffeo Pantaleoni , who inspired the announcement in a speech in Milan in 1924 , at a congress of the International Institute of savings. It takes place every year on October 31 in Rome. This beautiful poster (1932) is the work of Giacinto Mondaini (1902-1979 ), an Italian painter, cartoonist, humorist, screenwriter and writer. His daughter Sandra, is the child featured on this poster. Mondaini is known as a prolific artist, creating works for stamps, billboards, magazines and comics.
